Korea Spring Trip 2016 (Day 10)

Friday, 22nd April 2016

Today we had planned to go to Nami Island and Petite France, so from Namyeon Station we took subway to Gapyeong Station (KRW2,250), then from Gapyeong we bought a Circle Tour Bus for KRW6,000 each. The shuttle bus goes around Gapyeong area, it stops at multiple places, like Nami Island, Petite France and The Garden of Morning Calm.

Gapyeong Station

Our first destination -> Nami Island.

The bus stopped near the ferry terminal, so we still need to walk for a bit to get to terminal, we passed by a CU convenience store and decided to buy kimbap and milk for snack.

Kimbap @KRW1,600/ Milk KRW1,300
To get to Nami Island we need to take a ferry, the ferry departs every 10-30 minutes. The first ferry depart at 7.30 and the last one at 21.40

There's an admission fee of KRW10,000 per person (for round trip ferry), but if you bring your passport and showed it to them, you can get discounted rate which is KRW8,000.

So pretty! @__@

Oh! And if you're an adrenaline junkie, you can take the zipwire to the island instead of using the ferry X) Can you spot someone floating in the air from the picture above? Haha

Almost there!
When we arrived, we found someplace to sit and ate our kimbap. We then went around the island for about an hour, the place was so pretty! It was really nice to just stroll around the island :)

Look at what we found!

After a while, we had lunch at Seomhyanggi Restaurant, which I think was quite famous with tour people. We had an early lunch, so the place wasn't that crowded, but all the tables were already been set up with banchans for lunch time.

We ordered Gomtang (KRW9,000), BBQ Chicken (KRW12,000) and BBQ Pork (KRW12,000).

Gomtang (KRW9,000)
BBQ Chicken (KRW12,00)

BBQ Pork (KRW12,000)

We strolled around again for about an hour. My mom really likes Nami Island, she wish that we had stayed there longer :')

Then we went to Petite France, we took the shuttle bus and it took us 25 minutes from Nami.
The admission fee is KRW8,000 per person, but we had a discount coupon so we only paid KRW6,000. Dramas like Beethoven Virus, Secret Garden and My Love from the Star were filmed there.

Ice Cream KRW3,000

The place is kinda small, we only spent 30 minutes to go around it. Since the next bus still 40 minutes away, we decided to just bought an ice cream and sit down to enjoy the views. The ice cream wasn't that bad but not good either. (KRW3,000)

We took the bus and got out at Cheongryeong Station, from there we took subway to Seoul Station (KRW2,150)

And finally time for shopping at Lotte Mart, Seoul Station branch, lol. But before that we went to eat at Teacher Kim, they sell mandu and kimbap, I really want to try it because I watched the triplet from Superman Returns ate there. :p They also have many branches, you can check which one is near to you :)

But sadly the mandu is not really my style, the filling was kinda sweet so I didn't really like it. We spent KRW8,500 for both of them.

We then went to Lotte Mart to shop XD We bought lots of snacks from there, so after we pay, we put them in boxes, so if you want to buy things from Lotte and you want to bring it back to your country, they have self packing counter, they provide you with boxes and tape, you can just grab that and pack your stuff. So convenient!

Our snack lol, KRW 6,320
Strawberry Milk
Until now, I still can't believe that I could carry all that and we still use subway to get back to Namyeong, I remembered I felt like my arms were going to fall off.
