Rencananya pengen coba makan Thailand di tempat yang belom pernah. Eh tapi pas masuk liat menunya kok kayaknya gw pernah liat nih menu kayak gini, *setelah liat-liat menu yang lain lagi* loh kok kayaknya sama ini menunya kayak menu di Chandara. Terus pas cek di internet ternyata dari group yang sama.. pantes.

Tapi sepertinya bedanya White Elephant sama Chandara itu kalau White Elephant lebih ke Bistro kalau Chandara lebih ke Fine Dining jadi ada menu di Chandara yang harganya lebih mahal daripada di White Elephant *sok tau padahal gatau bener apa salah*, ah sebodo teing yang penting makan hehehe.

Thai Ice Tea with Milk - 25k

Tom Yum Kung - 45k

Prawns in spicy lemongrass and lime juice. Udangnya besar dan fresh, rasa kuah tom yum nya enak, pedes, asem, asin, seger. hehe.

Pad Thai Kai Krob - 49k

Fried noodle with prawns in sweet tamarind sauce. Nomnomnom ;9

Kang Kiew Wan Nea - 65k

Green curry with beef, currynya agak thick dan gurih.

Nua Yang - 85k

Marinated grill beef served with chef's sauce. Dagingnya empuk tapi agak kenyel, rasanya manis.

Part1

Uncle Ho's Crunchy Wings - 32k

Marinated chicken wings, fried and tossed in caramelized fish sauce, crunchy garlic and herbs. The wings were tasty! Crisp coating and sweet sauce. But I think the meat was a little bit too salty.

Crispy Pork Belly and Watermelon - 48k

Pork belly coated in black pepper caramel served with fresh watermelon cubes, pickled rinds and toasted sesame. Crispy pork belly, sweet watermelon with sour and crunchy pickled rinds. Quite weird combination, but good.

Mango Mania (Seasonal) - 40k

Warm thai sticky rice with fresh mango slices, mango-cream icy bar and sesame brittle. The fresh mango was too sour, like wayyyyyyy too sour! :( But the mango-cream icy bar was nice.

We went to E&O for lunch. They served Thai and Vietnamese cuisine, and the menu items here are designed to be shared.

Thai Iced Tea (Traditional Thai Tea w/ Evaporated Milk) - 30k

I like their Thai Iced Tea, even though it was a little bit too sweet.

Grilled Beef Salad w/ Green mango, Shallots, Peanuts, Mint and Nahm Jin Jauw - 90k

Tom Yum of Prawns w/ Galangal, Lemongrass, Milk and Coriander - 80k

The green mango was crunchy, and it has this sour taste that will make you wince, and the thinly sliced grilled beef was so tender. The soup was creamy, spicy and sour, there are oyster mushrooms and 3 prawns inside. Both of the salad and soup were refreshing.

"Pad See-Ew" w/ Braised Beef, Flat Rice Noodles, Kai-lan and Dark Soy - 110k

I don't know what should we do to the sprouts, should we mixed it, or it just a decoration that's not supposed to be eaten? Whatever it is, we didn't touch the sprouts hehe. The Pad See-Ew was mediocre, it was sweet and a little bit spicy.

Peking Duck Fried Rice w/ Thai Curry Powder, Cherry Tomatoes, Pineapple and Chili - 95k

The Fried Rice was the spiciest among the other food we ordered. Didn't really like the pecking duck, the meat was quite tender but not tasty.

Gw lebih suka Thai Iced Tea w/ Milk yang biasa daripada yang Green Tea.

Tom Yam Goong - 65k

Traditional Thai soup with prawn, mushroom and lemongrass. Kuahnya enak asem dan pedes

Gai Hor Bai Toey - 55k

Ini marinated chicken breast in pandanus leaf, tulisannya sih chicken breast tapi kemaren gw dapetnya yang paha :( 1 porsi ada 3

Pat Graprao Neua - 75k

Pat Graprao itu stir-fried w/ chilis and holy basil leaves. Dagingnya ada 2 pilihan, ada Neua (beef) atau Gai (chicken). Rasanya manis asin dan sedikit pedes.

Phad Thai - 65k

Phad thai ini stir-fried shrimps, chicken, eggs, tomatoes, bean sprouts and spring onion. Untuk mienya ada 2 pilihan, ada Wunsen (vermicelli) atau Thai (noodle), kita pilih yang noodle. Phad thainya lumayan, tapi gw lebih suka rasa Phad Thai di Pacific Place.

Pla Krapong Manaow - 205k (medium)

Whole seabass w/ lime juice and chili sauce. Rasanya asem dan pedes, asemnya enak seger, ikannya juga empuk dan lembut. Gw paling suka ini :9

Thai Steamed Rice - 10k

Avocado Chocolate - 25.5k

Avocadonya lumayan berasa, cuma cakenya agak kering.

Le Desire - 27.5k

Ini coklat banget, agak chewy atasnya. Gw ga gitu suka cake di sini.

Sebenernya pengen coba dessert khas Thailand, Khao Niew Ma Muang (thai mango w/ sweet organic glutinous rice, served w/ coconut milk) tapi kata orangnya lagi ga ada :'(

Akhirnya kita cobain juga mango sticky rice di sini :D

Khao Niew Ma Muang (thai mango with sweet organic glutinous rice, served w/ coconut milk) - 35k

Mangganya manis, sticky ricenya juga agak manis dan agak keras-keras sedikit, terus santen di atasnya bikin sticky rice nya jadi gurih.

Fak Thong Sangkaya (Thai Custard w/ pumpkin) - 35k

Disajiinnya dingin. Pumpkinnya lembek, dan custardnya agak kasar dan pecah. Gw ga gitu suka dessert yang ini.

We had breakfast at Jiang Shun Fresh Water Seafood at iSquare. The view was pretty, but the food was just ok.

We went to Harbour City again to buy Eric Kayser breads. Then we saw this store, and bought some ice creams.

After walking around for a bit, we went to Rice Paper (my 1st visit, click here)

Hot Lime Ginger Honey

Wok-fried Chicken with Rice Noodles - HKD 88

We chose the dish above from the set menu, the set menu includes 1 drink (fresh lime soda/hot lime ginger honey/soft drink). If I'm not mistaken, the set menu only available until 4pm. The Rice Noodle was tasteless and oily.

Viet Raw Beef w/ Rice Noodles (HKD 68)

The soup is from a beef broth, and there are shallot, coriander, spring onion, bean sprout, thai basil and crispy garlic inside. It was salty and a little bit sour.

Chicken Pad Thai w/ Viet Xo Sauce (HKD 88)

Cooked w/ garlic, galangal, lemongrass, shallot, lime, onion, peanut, chili and dried shrimp sauce. The Pad Thai was tasty! Like this :)

Char-grilled Chicken, Beef and Pork Satays (6 pieces) - HKD 76

We chose pork satays, the pork was a bit bland, but quite tender.

Thai Young Coconut Jelly and Fresh Papaya - HKD 52

 The coconut jelly made from coconut water, served chilled and tastes sweet

Purple Sticky Rice (HKD 48)  - fresh mango, coconut cream and hazelnut praline

The mango was sour, and the portion was quite small.

Sichuan Spicy Delight

If I'm not mistaken - glass noodle, horinzo, fish ball and tofu skin with hot & spicy soup (medium) - HKD 54

Hehe I took this pic when we almost done eating. The system is similar with Yong Tau Fu, you choose the ingredients and the soup base.. The soup was really spicy and a little bit oily, but I like it hehe.

The steamed custard was smooth, most of them didn't like it because it has a strong ginger flavour. The mango pudding was quite good.
