Eric Kayser Le Restaurant du Boulanger

12 April '14

I like their pain au chocolat when I tried it in HK, so when I know that Eric Kayser opened its store in Jakarta, I happily went there for their pain au chocolat and food.

Complimentary Bread
Nice and warm breads :)

Cafe Hazelnut Latte - 35k
Raspberry Iced Tea - 27k
They didn't have too much beverage menu, just coffee, tea, milk, juice, water, soft drink and beer. The Raspberry Iced Tea was quite good, not too sweet and refreshing.

Salad Poulet Cesar - 78k

Grilled chicken breast, fresh green salad, boiled eggs with classic Caesar dressing. The dressing was yummy and not overwhelming, and the grilled chicken was quite tender and tasty.

Risotto aux Truffes - 124k
Creamy risotto with wild porcini topped with black truffle mushroom and shaved grana padano cheese on top. Love love their risotto, my only complaint would be that small portion. HEHE

Fougasse Au Quatre Fromage - 98k
French pizza with fresh mozzarella cheese, emmental cheese, goat cheese, gruyere cheese and creme fraiche.

Pain au Chocolat - 16,364

Coffee Eclair - 36,364

Yo' Panino

17 Nov '13

Finally Yo'Panino has opened its second store in Kota Kasablanka. The store is right beside J.Co. Yo'Panino has a same concept with Subway.

The Breads

First you choose what kind of bread do you want, they have Turkish Pide (moist & light with toasted sesame seeds), Multigrain (healthy choice of rolled oats, flax, sesame & sunflower seeds), Farmhouse White (artisinally soft with a touch of salt) or Brioche (soft & sweet).

Next you choose your Panino: Yo'Classico (35k), Yo'Signature(43k), Yo'Hero(53k) and Yo'Legendary (63k)

Then you can get an add ons such as fried egg, sliced cheddar, crispy bacon, etc for 7k/15k.

Toppings

After that you can choose your toppings, and hey! It's unlimited! You can have those 13 toppings inside your sandwich!

The Sauces

And finally you can choose the sauce/s, and it's also unlimited! They have 6 sauces: Yo'Barbie-Q (homemade hickory smoked oozy barbecue sauce), Yo'Aioli, Yo'Sesame (blend of shoyu and sesame sauce with a tad of mayo), Yo'Wasabi (combination of wasabi and mayonnaise), Yo'Java (roasted peanuts slowly simmered w/ a unique blend of spiced herbs), and Yo'Angry (spicy mayo).

*From all of the sauces I like Yo'Aioli and Yo'Sesame the most.

Rise & Shine

I ordered their Rise & Shine (turkey bacon, fried egg, hash brown, cheddar melt) from Yo'Hero (53k), with Brioche and Yo'Sesame for the sauce. For the toppings I chose lettuce, cucumbers, guacamole and jalapenos.

Chicken Caesar Salad (53k)

While my mom ordered Chicken Caesar Salad (Roast Chicken Breast, Bacon Bits, Chopped Romaine, Caesar Dressing).

Lemonade - Milo
By adding 15k, you can make your Panino and Salad into Value Combo, and you can get Reg.Fries/Java Slaw/Cookie and Chilled Classic Drink (Lemon Tea/Lemonade/Milo/Blackcurrant/Water/Coke/Fanta/Sprite).

At that time, they had a Buy One Get One promotion, for every purchase of Panino and Salad you can get free BBQ Chicken Club (53k), so we got 2 BBQ Chicken Club (Hickory Smoked Chicken, Turkey Bacon, Cheese Sauce, Yo'Barbie-Q Sauce), yeay! for gratisan :p lol

BBQ Chicken Club w/ Turkish Pide

Lettuce and Guacamole. Yo'Aioli and Yo'Wasabi.

Panino in the making :9
BBQ Chicken Club w/ Multigrain Bread

With all toppings and Yo'Barbie-Q sauce.

They also has this promotion.. And got this :)

Almond Cookies - 12k

Their cookies was good, it was thin and crisp. I like their chocolate cookies, while my mom like their almond cookies better.

HK Day 3 - Cheung Hung Seafood Restaurant, Harbour City (Eric Kayser & Rice Paper), A Symphony of Lights

3 August '13

CHEUNG HUNG SEAFOOD RESTAURANT (revisit) - 1st visit
On my 3rd day in HK, we had lunch at the same restaurant we had dinner on the 1st day, Cheung Hung Seafood Restaurant.

Vegetarian Chee Cheong Fun (Rice Noodle Rolls)
Fried Shrimp w/ Salted Egg Yolk
Roast Pork
I like the roast pork, succulent meat and crunchy skin.

Oyster & Bitter Melon Omelette
Very tasty omelette, a little bit too salty but still good.

Stir-fried Vermicelli
Didn't really like the taste of it. Kind of weird, there's pickled ginger inside. But I like the pork.

Don't know the name, it's green paprika filled with fish cake.

Chicken Feet

The skin is chewy, there are turnip, small shrimp and celery inside.

ERIC KAYSER
Then we went to Harbour City (again!) because my sister wants to try the croissants at Eric Kayser Bakery.

After we bought some at the Grab&Go Bakery (there's Eric Kayser Restaurant / Le Restaurant du Boulanger right beside the bakery) we went to Rice Paper to eat.

Chouquettes (5pcs) - HKD 25
Chinese Chicken Ciabatta - HKD 20
Chocolate Viennoise - HKD 16
Brasilia Tart - HKD 38
Didn't get to try those 4 above :'(

Croissant - HKD 16
Chocolate Croissant - HKD 17

The crust was crispy while the inside was soft, buttery and flaky. I like the chocolate croissant more, just because I love chocolate hehe. Either way, their croissants were so good!

Chocolate Eclair - HKD 30

Pistachio Eclair - HKD 30

The eclairs is good, but not exceptional. The truth is, I'm not a fan of their eclair.

RICE PAPER
We had our early dinner at Rice Paper, Rice Paper is a vietnamese restaurant, but they also have thai food here.

Vietnamese Spring Rolls (HKD 62) -
Consists of pork, dried shrimp, fungus, egg, vermicelli, sage and black pepper. The deep fried rolls was so crispy on the outside, tastes good too. But here's my favorite!

Prawn Rice Paper Rolls (HKD 75)
The Prawn Rice Paper Rolls! Served cold. There are only cucumber, glass noodle and prawn inside but it was soooo good! I love this dish, it's refreshing. I also love their sweet chili sauce nomnomnom :9

Bun Cha Cold Vermicelli w/ Lemongrass Pork Chop (HKD 86)

Mediocre taste, but the pork chop was quite good.

Seafood Fried Rice (HKD 92)
Fried Rice with calamari, scallop, prawn, fish, pineapple and cashew nut. The rice was a bit hard, but tasty. I like the fried fish inside.

Roast Pork Ribs w/ Barbecue Sauce (HKD 142)
Quite good, and the pork was quite tender.
