Singapore Day 3

Yeyy! Finally Paris Baguette! We arrive at 4pm, the place is super packed, and we have to find our own seats, I have to circled that place so many times to finally get a seat for us.

Oh~ My Baby Crepe - S$8

Quite nice but the Crepes are too thick for my liking.

Royal Pudding (Mango) - S$4.5

I like their Royal Mango Pudding, soft, sweet and a little bit of sour from the mango.

Wow~ Mango Cream Pie - S$9.5

I also like their Mango Cream Pie, even though not that Wow~ for me. Inside there are sponge cake, cream and almond cream (?). After that we went to Paul to eat more sweets, yesss!

Cafe Surprise (S$12.9) - any coffee, tea/cappucino served w/ a mini creme brulee, half moelleux chocolat slice and two mini macarons (chocolate drink + S$2)

I like their creme brulee and chocolate moelleux super yummy!

Tartelette Multifruits (S$6.80) - Cream pattiserie and seasonal fruits)

Taste mediocre, not so bad but not so good either.

Pain au Chocolat - S$2.70

I really really want to try their famous Pain au Chocolat, but because we're too full, we finally asked them to take away. I ate that for breakfast, and I like it!

After that we went to our lodging to put our stuff and went to Mandarin Gallery for dinner. Thank you kyukyu (Idk how to spell it) for the treat! :)

I found this while searching what to eat in singapore. Excited when I read the story behind it @ mymanhattanpizza.com and can't wait to taste their pizzas! :) So I said to myself, if  I go to Singapore I will definitely try this! So here I am ;)

Condiments

So we ordered 2 Classic Manhattan Combo S$5.90 each  (slice of classic pizza & soft drink) and one Flat Iron Combo (slice of speciality pizza & soft drink) S$6.90

Pepperoni (slice 10 inches S$5.20/whole pie 20 inches S$39)

Roast Duck (slice 10 inches S$6.5 / whole pie 20 inches S$42)

Margherita (slice 10 inches S$4.5 / whole pie 20 inches S$32)

Their pizza is chewy and thin. I like their Pepperoni Pizza the best! The pepperoni smells nice and so tasty! . Nomnom. I like both Roast Duck and Margherita too. The Roast Duck Pizza taste unique for me but  in a good way. It's like eating Pecking Duck yum!

It's my bro's birthday, so we (actually my mom) decided to go to Sg early. Actually we went there for a wed on Sat. Hehe. Because I clicked a wrong time for the flight at 6a.m instead of 8a.m (but i still think i couldn't possibly choose the wrong time, because i've been looking for it for weeks), so we only got 30 minutes of sleep before we woke up at 4.

When we arrived, we met up with my bro and decided to eat at Burger King while waiting for my grandma to come.

In the afternoon we went to buy a birthday cake for our bro at Pique Nique in Takashimaya.

My sis came up with this idea to put "Kakak", I think it's her inside joke with her friend so she also use it to tease my bro. And because we LOLing when we told the waiter to write "Kakak" Brian. So he  asked my sis what is the meaning of "kakak"? And she told him that kakak means older brother/sister in Indonesian. (okay, I know you'll wonder where's the funny part about it, sooo.. just forget it, lol 'cause it will take a lot of time for me to explain in english) #blamemybadenglish !

When I saw the cake, I'm kind of shocked because I don't think the cake will be so small. But when I tasted it, the cake is really really yummy :9

Part2: Canele

Dari Ssikkek kita jalan-jalan sampe jam 5. Dan karena udah gatau mau ngapain akhirnya kita ke Canele yang ada di Raffles City.

Mango Passion Chocolat Blanc (S$7.01) - Ripe honeyed mangoes with white chocolate cream

Rasanya manis dan ada asemnya. Cream sama mousse nya lembut, terus ada sedikit rasa kelapa. Enak! :9

Le Royale (S$7.48) - A whimsical chocolate indulgence, luscious vanini chocolate mousse layered between a crispy chocolate praline and opulent gianduja cream, surrounded by a wall of divine chocolate glaze and almoinds, topped w/ bubble of heavenly dark chocolate

No need to explain it anymore. Just read the description above. Le royale is simply delicious. :)

Part1: Ya Beancurd - Ssikkek

Hari ini di ajak koko makan makanan Korea di Novena. Jadi kita naik MRT ke Novena terus di sana ketemu sama koko. Kira-kira jalan 5-10 menit kita udah nyampe di Ssikkek. Ssikkek buka dari jam 11:30-2.30 terus buka lagi jam 5-10pm.

Kita nyampe di sana kira-kira jam setengah 12 kurang, dan antriannya udah super panjang (kalo malem lebih banyak lagi yang dateng, jadi meja-meja yang di luar itu di pake kalo malem doang). Katanya koko padahal tadi pas dia lewatin sana belom rame, tapi sekarang udah panjang banget. Jadi sekitar jam 11.45an restorannya buka, dan semuanya mulai maju buat masuk. Dan sialnya bener-bener PAS giliran kita orangnya bilang kalo tempatnya udah penuh. Jadi harus tunggu sampe ada yang keluar. Dan berhubung ini restoran buffet, bayangin aja kita harus tunggu berapa jam :( Setelah bingung mau nunggu apa ngak, akhirnya kita putusin buat nunggu. Karena bosen gatau mau ngapain, akhirnya gw pergi ke restoran sebelah buat beli beancurd dan balik lagi buat makan di antrian sana.

Gw beli yang Original sama yang Almond. Gw sih ga gitu suka, gw lebih suka beancurd yang di 69 Cold Soya Beancurd.

Akhirnya setelah nunggu 1 jam kita masuk juga :))

Well, luckily it worth the wait. Just look at the pictures below :)

Di Ssikkek ini ada banyak macem makanan Korea, dari daging-dagingan (ayam, babi, sapi), seafood, salad, sayur-sayuran, japchae, nasi goreng, sup (kimchi jjigae, seaweed soup, clam soup), dll.
Walaupun buffet, tapi makanan di sini enak-enak. Gw paling suka samgyeopsal sama japchaenya. :9 Terus kalo di sini, kalo aluminium foilnya udah kotor, nanti orangnya yang bakal gantiin, soalnya orangnya bakal muter-muter buat nge check. Di sini juga minumnya gratis, jadi kita di kasih botol yang gede itu pas dateng, dan kalo udah abis kita bisa ambil lagi botol gede kayak gitu di counternya. Pokoknya makan di sini puas deh, cuma nunggunya itu yang ga tahan. Hehe.
