Sydney 2015 (Day 1)

11 February 2015

Hi!!! Finally! For you who curious, no my blog is not dead yet! Been busy with job training since last year till the end of January, so no time to type no time to post and no time to wait for the photos to load! yeah, sad right. So after I finished my job training, it's time to have fun. So I decided to go to Sydney for my sister's graduation and of course to eat! Actually I supposed to go with my mom, but she canceled and I ended up by myself :(

I was flying with Garuda Indonesia, 10.30pm flight, arrived around 9.30am local time. Because the queues were so long it took me over 1 hour to pass the immigration. It was already 11am when I get out from the airport.

And from there, my journey began.

Part 1 - Hello, Sydney!

It was a sunny day, great time to explore and strolling around. Our first stop is Black Star Pastry in Rosebery.

Tried their Strawberry Watermelon Cake with Rose Scented Cream. Not too sweet and refreshing indeed. But I don't know, maybe because I just came out from the airplane and doesn't really have an appetite to eat. It was good of course, but not THAT good. But I'm still eager to try it again.

Then we're walking around the city for hours. Got tired and ended up at Chanoma Cafe.

Matcha Parfait $9.5 - Matcha Soft Ice Cream, Rice Cake, Sweet Red Bean Paste, Pocky, Cornflakes, Cone, Fruit Cocktail, Whipped Cream & Green Tea Syrup

Ordered their Matcha Parfait, too little ice cream and too much cornflakes, love their ice cream though, should have bought their Matcha Float and it's only $5.9 !

And 2 hours later, here we are at Anita Gelato.

Small - $5 (Chocolate with Almonds and Caramel - Ferrero Rosher Cream)
You can ask the waiter for sample(s) and get the flavour(s) that you like. They have so many varieties and all of them look so good.

Then I bought Opal and Optus $2 SIM Card, so for $2 a day you can get unlimited calls (standard australian mobiles and landlines), unlimited sms/mms and 500MB a day. Quite good except the downside is they auto bump you with $2 (for 542MB more) if you exceed the 500MB limit.

And for dinner, we went to Maroo Korean Restaurant.

Complimentary

After eating sweets all day, I'm so glad to finally meet a bowl of hot rice. Love the bulgogi, lots of meat and tasty too! The yukgaejang was also tasty!

So that's all for Day 1, stay tuned for Day 2!
