Two months ago I went to HK to attend my cousin's wedding. The date is after my final exam, so it was a perfect time to celebrate
And for you who like me ;) who need a prepaid sim card with data plan, you can buy it at 1010 store at the airport. From what I read, one2free seems like a good deal. I plan to buy the 5 days pass (HKD 88) but at the end I used other sim card because my uncle had already bought it.
And if you plan to use a lot of MTR or bus, you can also buy octopus card at the airport. Just buy the standard octopus card for HKD 150 (deposit HKD 50, stored value HKD 100), and at the end of your trip you can exchange your card to get your deposit and the remaining value back.
Get to the city? How? I think the easiest way is to use a cab. But you can also use Airport Express, for single journey to/from airport:
HK - Airport = HKD 100
Kowloon - Airport = HKD 90
But if you travel in group it will be cheaper:
Group of 2 (HK=HKD160, Kowloon=HKD 140)
Group of 3 (HK=HKD210, Kowloon=HKD 190)
Group of 4 (HK=HKD250, Kowloon=HKD 220)
You can check it here: Airport Express
From HK/ Kowloon Station you can board the free shuttle bus to your hotel, for list of hotels click here: Airport Express Shuttle Bus
* For comparation, we paid HKD 396 for cab from airport to Gloucester Rd, Causeway Bay (6 luggages included).

Day 1
Arrived at noon, took a cab to the hotel then went to Choi Fook Royal Banquet at Windsor House to have late lunch. The place is quite big and crowded with patrons. We went to Times Square for a bit, then we had dessert at Hui Lau Shan near Times Square. Love their Mango Chewy Ball! Mango Romance was also good if you want to have little bit of everything :)

Mango Romance - HKD 59 |
At night we had our dinner at Delicious Kitchen.
Double Pork Rib ($63) |
Wonton in Soup (HKD 47) |
We ordered their Double Pork Rib and Wonton in Soup, the famous pork ribs was good, the coat was sweet and savoury, but it was a bit hard to chew. The dumplings were plump and tasty, love the smell of sesame oil.
* exclude tea $2/person and 10% service charge
