Korea Spring Trip 2016 (Day 13)

Monday, 25th April 2016

Today is shopping day again haha. I only got a few clothes yesterday, so today is the last chance to go shopping, because we're going home tomorrow T___________T

First thing first, food! Since yesterday we went to eat at Myeongdong Gyoja, today we are going to eat at Yoogane. So we went to Myeongdong, to have early lunch there. We ordered Chicken & Octopus (KRW10,000), Chicken (KRW9,000), Fried Rice (KRW2,000), Rice Cake with Mozzarella (KRW2,000) and Mozarella (2,000)

The food was just ok, maybe because I really had high expectations of it. After we finish eating, we went to Myeongdong Underground Shopping Center, near exit #8 of Myeongdong Station, there is a shop called MD & Style. Really like that shop, I like the clothes that they're selling, really my style lol and the prices are similar to the one at Hello APM and Migliore.

We then went to Doota (Myeongdong->Dongdaemun KRW1,250).

We couldn't find anything that we want, so we went to Gwangjang Market (Dongdaemun->Jongno 5-ga KRW1,250), we tried the famous Sunhee Bindaetteok (KRW4,000) taste wise it was just ok, crisp on the outside and soft on the inside with crunchy texture from the bean sprouts. While strolling inside the market we found a stall that sell porridges, we tried Pumpkin Porridge (HobakJuk KRW3,000/small), at first it tastes kinda weird because of the saltiness, but after a while it becomes ok.

From Gwangjang Market we then went to Hongdae (KRW1,250), I went to Innisfree and bought their No-Sebum Mineral Powder (KRW6,000) and Green Barley Bubble Cleanser (KRW10,000). Actually my friend wants the No-Sebum Mineral Pact but all the Innisfree stores that I went, ran out of it, so she doesn't want. But after I saw the reviews on the internet, I decided to try it and until now I still use the No-Sebum Mineral Powder, Pact and the Bubble Cleanser. Before Innisfree opened it stores in Jakarta, I bought them in Singapore, Thailand and also asked my friend who went to Korea to buy it for me. From those 3 countries (Jakarta, Singapore, and Thailand), the most expensive one is when I bought it in Thailand T_____T

If you're in Hongdae don't forget to visit Style Nanda store! They have a photobooth and you can take pictures there for free hahaha. I only bought 3ce Pore Silky Balm (KRW13,000) there, and I regret not buying their lipstick T____________T

Still in Hongdae area, we went to James Cheese Back Ribs for our early dinner. So in here, 2 people need to order minimum 2 portions and 3 people need to order minimum 3 portions. You can choose how much cheese you want (normal/KRW14,000, double/KRW16,000 and triple/KRW18,000) and the level of spiciness (little bit spicy, sweet spicy, spicy). Actually we ordered 2 of the normal cheese, and the staff already repeat the order but when we finished our meal and asked for the bill, we were asked to pay for 2 of the double cheese, so I asked didn't we order the normal one, to the same staff that took our order, then she looked at the computer and said it was 2 of double cheese in the computer. HAHAHA .. ok.

Double KRW16,000 x 2

And on the way back I bought another Shoopen shoes (KRW10,000), I wish I bought more T___T We also passed a stall that sell socks, so we bought some more, the socks were only KRW1,000 each.

We then took the subway to Sookmyung (KRW1,250), then went to GS25 and bought some snacks. We also passed by KFC, and decided to buy their Zinger Double Down Max (KRW6,100). I really want to try it since before I arrived in Korea, and finally I bought it. lol. It was a burger without the bun, instead of bun they change it with deep fried chicken fillets and this one has no patty, but hash brown, cheese and bacon. Because I was still full, I took away the food. We also went to Seven Eleven and bought Melon and Banana Milk (KRW2,600) and Isul TokTok (KRW1,800) Hite Jinro's carbonated peach flavoured alcohol drink.

And near our lodging there is also Lotte Super 999 store, the stuff are cheaper here. For example, I bought Banana milk for KRW1,300 at Seven Eleven, but here it's only KRW1,190. Peppero usually KRW1,200 but here is KRW990.
