Sydney 2015 (Day 4)

14 Feb '15

It was Saturday and Valentine's Day! We went to The Grounds of Alexandria to see their weekend market. There were many stalls selling various things, from pastries, breads, donuts, drinks, ice creams, nuts and others. The place was so packed, so it was kind of hard to take pictures.

The sleepyhead Kevin Bacon!

Rose Lemon - $5
Pasture-Fed Angus Eye Fillet, 250g - $30

David Blackmore Full-Blooded Wagyu CheeseBurger - $21
While we wait for our table at The Potting Shed, we went to stroll around the grounds again. Bought the lemonade from one of the stalls, beside the usual lemonade they also have rose lemon and temonade. After that my eyes fixed on that one stall that sell donuts. But since I was so hungry, I thought I would have my lunch first then I will buy it latter. But I got too full, and had to say goodbye to my the nutella donut.

At The Potting Shed we ordered Angus Eye Fillet and Wagyu Cheese Burger. The Angus Eye Fillet served with hand cut chips & choice of green peppercorn, mushroom sauce or juniper berry juice. We chose their mushroom sauce, the dish was nothing special. The Cheese Burger was better, served with fries. They use pretzel bun, inside there are shed-made dill pickles, mustard seed onions, tomato chilli jam and lettuce. The bun was soft and the patty was quite juicy and tasty.

One hour later we are arrived at Kurtosh.

Nutella Kurtosh - $9.5

"Kürtőskalács is a traditional Hungarian pastry famously known as chimney cake, boasting the perfect harmony of caramelised crispy flaky outer with soft inner walls."- Kürtősh

Their website already said it all. The kurtosh served hot, because it's made to order. We ordered their nutella kurtosh, and it was so good! Do you remember that I said that I was full before? Yes, I'm still full, but I can't stop reaching for more!

And again, 2 hours later here we are at Shinara, an all-you-can eat restaurant that located on the 2nd floor. At first we thought that it was a Japanese Restaurant, but after we went inside it turned out to be a Korean BBQ, not complaining though. When we arrived only a few tables were occupied, but when we want to leave there was already a long queue to the first floor. So if you want to have dinner here, it's best to come early to avoid the crowd.

They have many choices of meats to choose from. Besides meats, they also have many other things. Like salads, fruits, kimchi, japchae, bulgogi, soups, jjajangmyeon and others. Mediocre food, but I'm quite happy since I can eat samgyeopsal as much as I'd like to. And the service was also good, since we grilled a lot of meats, black crust formed on the grill plate. And someone came to clean the plate even when we didn't asked him to.

Dinner: Done!
Next stop: Darling Harbour!

On our way to Darling Harbour
So here we are at Darling Harbour, securing our seat to see the fireworks!

And at the end of the fireworks, there was a proposal! So sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeet
