HK Day 6 (1/2) - Disneyland

6 August '13

Welcome to the happiest place on earth, they said.

Here you leave today and enter the world of yesterday, tomorrow and fantasy...

It was a scorching hot day and the park was super crowded. We only got to see and play 8 attractions because of the long queues. Queuing time is 30 minutes until 1 and a half hours per attraction.

In Tomorrowland we played Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters and Space Mountain. Buzz Lightyear is a shooting game, while the Space Mountain is an indoor roller coaster. And since I didn't really enjoy playing roller coaster very much (I closed my eyes the whole time) I prefer the Buzz Lightyear hehe :p

Inside the Buzz Lightyear

The Sleeping Beauty Castle

- The Golden Mickeys is a musical show with Disney characters. There are Toy Story, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Tarzan, Mulan, Lilo & Stitch, The Little Mermaid, and Beauty and the Beast.

- It's a Small World is a musical boat ride. The ride features over 300 brightly costumed audio-animatronic dolls in the style of children of the world, frolicking in a spirit of international unity, and singing the attraction's title song, which has a theme of global peace.(-wikipedia)

- The Royal Banquet Hall
We got tired and hungry, so we went to The Royal Banquet Hall to eat. All the food here looks so tempting, I want them all! hehehehe

Baked Pork Chop Rice - HKD 88
Tomato Soup
Fish & Chips - HKD 82
Char Grilled Beef Steak - HKD 95
Mushroom Cream Soup
The Baked Rice includes tomato soup, while the Char Grilled Beef Steak and the Fish & Chips served with mushroom cream soup, and choice of steamed rice or french fries.

The Baked Rice is topped with tomato sauce and mozzarella. I like it, it tastes savory, sweet and sour. I also like the Fish & Chips, the fish batter was crispy, and the fish itself was soft with no fishy smell.

The Char Grilled Beef Steak was mediocre.

Japanese Curry Pork Chop Bento - HKD 88

This was my favorite! The rice formed into triangle shapes, then dipped into soy sauce. The veggies served cold, it was crunchy and taste a little bit sweet. And for the katsu, I just love it.

Our next stop:

- Mickey's PhilharMagic, it's a 12 minute long 4-D film attraction. It was a little bit boring at first, but it became more enjoyable and more real after a while.

- The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh
We also get to ride this before we went to the Fireworks show. Like it's name, it's a ride about adventures of winnie the pooh.

From Fantasyland we went to Toy Story Land.

We didn't ride anything here, we only bought a frozen yogurt w/ 2 toppings (HKD 40) at Jessie's Snack Roundup.

Toy Soldier Parachute Drop

- Mystic Manor is a haunted house themed attraction, that tells the story of Lord Henry Mystic and his monkey Albert. The ride system is similar to the system used on The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. (-wikipedia)

- Festival of the Lion King is an original interpretation of the Disney animated film The Lion King, is a Broadway-caliber short-form stage musical performed live. (-disney.wikia)

Cinderella Carousel in Fantasyland:

Main Street Station:

- Disney in the Stars Fireworks
The fireworks that day starts at 9pm (look at the schedule here), but we already at Main Street from 8pm to secure our place.
